How we picked
This guide draws on a pool of 5 SAN HIMA rooftop tent listings, the whole set sold under the maker name SAN HIMA. The group rule of the pool is the brand filter, and the picks are compared on the details each title states: shell, sleeping capacity, width, aluminum, four season and ladder. The ordering rule ranks by stated sleeping capacity first, then by how many of aluminum, four season and ladder the title states, then by the order in the pool. Since none of the five titles states a sleeping capacity and each states aluminum, the ranking follows the pool sequence. Live prices are printed by the page at the time of writing. Every comparison rests on stated details and live prices.
How to choose
Hard shell and aluminum in the title
Every listing in this SAN HIMA pool states a hard shell and aluminum in its title. A hard shell is a rigid case that opens; aluminum is the material the seller names. What either means for weight, strength or assembly is not part of the catalogue, so the guide compares only what the titles state.
How many people the title says it sleeps
None of the SAN HIMA titles in this guide state a sleeping capacity. The seller has not said how many people each tent sleeps, so the guide does not guess. If a capacity matters to you, read the full listing and the maker's product page.
Width, slimline and side-open details in the title
One listing states an 81-inch width in its title; another names a 4.57-inch slimline profile; another names a side-open design. These are stated details only, not measurements the site has verified.
Read the listing before you read the guide
This guide compares stated details and live prices. The full listings may include details the pool does not hold, such as the exact opening size or included parts. Read the listing text before choosing.
Ask the maker about mounting and roof limits
A rooftop tent mounts on a vehicle roof, but this guide makes no mounting promises. Read the maker's instructions and the vehicle manual, check the roof and rack limits the vehicle maker states, and use a qualified installer where the maker or local rules require one.
What this guide leaves out (and why)
This guide compares only the details stated in each listing title and live prices. It does not cover any attribute the seller does not state, and it does not guess. For any other information, read the full listing and the maker's product page.
Questions
Do the SAN HIMA listings in this guide state a sleeping capacity?
No. None of the titles in this SAN HIMA pool say how many people the tent sleeps. The guide compares only what the seller states, so it does not assign a capacity to any listing. If you need a capacity, check the full listing and the maker's product information.
Does this guide cover weight, setup time or weather performance?
This guide covers only the details stated in each listing title, such as shell, aluminum, width, and any named features. It does not cover any other physical or performance attribute, and it does not guess. The seller's listing may provide more details.
How are the SAN HIMA picks ordered?
The picks are ordered by stated sleeping capacity first, then by how many of aluminum, four season and ladder the title states, then by the order of the pool. Here all five listings state no sleeping capacity and the same single feature, aluminum, so the pool order decides the ranking.
What should I read about mounting the tent on a vehicle?
Read the maker's instructions for the tent and the vehicle manual for the roof and rack limits. The guide does not state that any tent fits a particular vehicle, roof or rack. Where the maker or local rules require one, use a qualified installer. The official camping guidance linked in the sources also covers responsible camping practices.
Why do all the picks show the same shell and material?
Every listing in this SAN HIMA pool states a hard shell and aluminum in its title. The guide compares the whole pool of five listings, so the shell and material are shared by all of them. The differences among the picks come from the added details each title names, such as a width, a slimline profile or an automatic operation.
